This function provides an interface between LodgeIC and your PBX system (if your system supports a serial communications interface).

It enables LodgeIC to do the following:
  • Turn on/off message waiting indicator in room
  • Set wakeup calls
  • Capture housekeeping room status changes
To run this program click start..LodgeIC PMS program group...Inn PBX Server. An icon (PBX) will appear in the system tray indicating the program is running.

Field Description
Comm Port Enter the communications port used for serial communications with the phone system
Baud Rate Enter the data transmission speed (baud rate) as specified by your phone system.
Data bits Enter the data bits (word length) as specified by your phone system.
Parity Enter the parity type as specified by your phone system.
Stop bits Enter the # of stop bits as specified by your phone system.
Incoming Data Check force 7-bit ascii if your pbx system requires 7-bit ascii transmission
IP Port This value determines the tcp/ip port used to communicate between the LodgeIC workstations and the machine that this interface is running on. You shouldn't need to change this value unless there is a conflict with another program.

Start When Windows Starts
To automatically run this function when Windows starts, right click on the icon in the system tray and open the program. Then select Enable at startup.

PBX Interface System
Select the interface specification that matches your system.

Location of Database
Set the location of the reservation files. If you're running a multi-user system, this location with be the folder containing the reservation files on your server. For example, if F: was mapped to your server, the value should be F:\LodgeIC.
